Automatic enrolment - joining Pace DC
All employers must put their eligible employees into a workplace pension under Government rules. This is known as automatic enrolment.
The Co-op will automatically enrol you into Pace DC, within 3 months of joining, if:
- You’re not already paying contributions into Pace DC
- You earn more than £769 in a four-weekly pay period (£10,000 a year) in 2022/2023
- You’re aged 22 or above
- You’re under State Pension Age.
If you’re automatically enrolled into Pace DC today, you’ll contribute 3% of your Pay and the Co-op will contribute 5%.

If you want to join Pace DC sooner, you can – just complete the Join Pace DC Form. Even if you don’t meet the above rules for automatic enrolment, you can still join Pace DC by completing the Join Pace DC Form.
